Book This Entertainer

The 1960s handed our world a very rare gift – a gift of some of the most talented R&B artists of our time. These brothers and sisters of “soul” led the way – paved the way – for future talented artists of today. The deep soul renditions of their “mainstream” songs – the soulful, gritty, emotional sounds we came to love – were born from the church – the inner core of their faith. The Sunday hours spent praising the Lord – offering testimony -- was their training ground to build the strong foundation of our nation’s beloved “Rhythm & Blues.”

Enter the handsome, talented Winfield Parker. Winfield’s career began as one of the nation’s most successful, talented R&B artists, producing an enormous following of dedicated fans. Always in demand for live concert appearances, Winfield Parker traveled throughout the world, delivering his unique style of soulful R&B to sell-out crowds in every major city. Starting with Mr. John Bishop's Coppertone Revue, traveling across the eastern and southern seaboards to appear at fairs and festivals, led to Winfield’s highly impressive recording discography which includes top-notch issues on premier record labels – beginning his singing career with Mr. Rufus Mitchell, then owner of the now highly collectible Baltimore based Ru-Jac label (one of the nation’s first African-American owned record labels), plus Spring, Wand, Calla, ATCO, GSF, P&L and Arctic. Winfield Parker was a star on the “top of the charts” – appearing with such talent as The Temptations, James Brown, Etta James, Little Richard, Lloyd Price, Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles, Four Tops, and Carla Thomas. And these are just a few.
